I am a native Texan born and raised in Odessa, Texas. I received my undergraduate from Angelo State University in San Angelo, Tx. Upon graduation I moved to Houston where I began teaching in Cy-Fair ISD. In 2002, I began teaching in Klein ISD here at Nitsch Elementary as a fifth grade teacher and also taught at Brill Elementary. I earned my master's at Lamar University in Beaumont, Tx. Upon receiving my master's, I began my administrative career at Theiss Elementary as an assistant principal and moved to assistant principal at Kaiser Elementary in 2010. I am so excited to have the opportunity to return "home" here at Nitsch and work with the outstanding students, parents, teachers, and community. When I'm not at school, you will find me spending time with my daughter and two sons usually in a variety of outdoor activities.

I possess a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Texas A&M University, as well as a Master of Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas. I have my Master Reading and Principal’s certification, as well as many other certificates that have enabled me to enhance my leadership goals. For the last three years, I’ve been a District Literacy Specialist for Krimmel, Strack, Schindewolf and Klein Intermediate schools where I’ve collaborated with Program Coordinators and a team of specialist to ensure that instruction is aligned to the expected standards. Prior to this position, I taught fourth grade at Greenwood Forest Elementary as well as in Spring Independent School District. As a veteran educator with nearly twenty years of experience, I endeavor to constantly promote literacy and increase quality instruction in all subjects. It is my passion and professional goal to maximize the potential in all students and teachers. One of my favorite quotes, “When you teach a child to love learning, you open doors of opportunity.” It is my belief that all students will be successful when the learning community embraces teaching with a collaborative spirit and engaging instruction. I am truly excited to be a Nitsch Knight. I look forward to building greatness with our students and staff.

I was born and raised in Panama, until my family moved to the United Sates when I was 14 years old.  I attended Brigham Young University where I earned an undergraduate degree in Education. I was recruited straight out of Utah to become a 4th grade teacher at Smith Academy in Aldine ISD. I  have also had the opportunity to work as Title I coordinator in Katy ISD.  In 2013, I began working as a 4th grade Language Arts teacher and 5th grade Read 180 Bilingual Teacher while at Willbern Elementary in Cy-Fair ISD. During this time, I earned a Masters in Human Resources from the University of Phoenix and a Masters in Education Administration from Lamar University. My favorite pass time is spending time with my son, reading books and going to different beaches during the summer. I love Nitsch students and faculty and I am very excited to be part of the Nitsch Family and Klein’s vision of Promise 2 Purpose.
