Principal, Mr. Ward
fward1@kleinsd.net
Assistant Principal, Mrs. Grice
tgrice1@kleinisd.net
I possess a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Texas A&M University as well as a Master of Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas. I have my Master Reading and Principal’s certification as well as many other certificates that have enabled me to enhance my leadership goals. For the last three years, I’ve been a District Literacy Specialist for Krimmel, Strack, Schindewolf and Klein Intermediate schools where I’ve collaborated with Program Coordinators and a team of specialist to ensure that instruction is aligned to the expected standards. Prior to this position, I taught fourth grade at Greenwood Forest Elementary as well as in Spring Independent School District. As a veteran educator with nearly twenty years of experience, I endeavor to constantly promote literacy and increase quality instruction in all subjects. It is my passion and professional goal to maximize the potential in all students and teachers. One of my favorite quotes is “When you teach a child to love learning, you open doors of opportunity.” It is my belief that all students will be successful when the learning community embraces teaching with a collaborative spirit and engaging instruction. I am truly excited to be a Nitsch Knight. I look forward to building greatness with our students and staff.
Assistant Principal, Ms. Murphy

I was born and raised in Panama until my family moved to the United Sates when I was 14 years old. I attended Brigham Young University where I earned an undergraduate degree in Education. I was recruited straight out of Utah to become a
4
th
grade teacher at Smith Academy in Aldine ISD. I have also had the opportunity to work as Title I coordinator in Katy ISD. In 2013, I began working as a 4
th
grade Language Arts teacher and 5
th
grade Read 180 Bilingual Teacher while at Willbern Elementary in Cy-Fair ISD. During this time, I earned a Masters in Human Resources from the University of Phoenix and a Masters in Education Administration from Lamar University. My favorite past times are spending time with my son, reading books, and going to different beaches during the summer. I love Nitsch students and faculty and I am very excited to be part of the Nitsch Family and Klein’s vision of Promise 2 Purpose.
Assistant Principal, Mr. Castleberry

I am a product of Klein ISD. Being born in Houston, TX, I went to Nitsch Elementary, Klein Intermediate, and Klein Forest where I graduated top 3% of my class. I received my Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Sam Houston State University. Upon graduating, I served in Spring ISD as a band director for 4 years. During this time, I received my Masters Degree in Education Administration from Lamar University. I am blessed to be able to return to my community and serve as Assistant Principal of such a great campus. My goal is to motivate our students to push toward excellence in all of their endeavors, refusing mediocrity, to become the best possible versions of themselves.
