KNIGHT PRIDE!
As a school we are committed to supporting and caring for all of our learners throughout their elementary school years. Our students learn and grow academically and socially during their time at Nitsch through individualized academic goal setting and a continuous focus on character education.
Our Mission & Vision
The Future is Now.
At Nitsch Elementary, each morning begins with the affirmation of self determination. Through the F.A.C.E. (Fierce Leadership, Attitude of Gratitude, Collaborative Community, Educational Excellence) of a Knight Program, students build the essential elements to be successful a day at a time. At its core, Nitsch offers EVERY learner an opportunity to grow into the Academic Pathway established by Klein ISD that best fits their Purpose. Equipped with knowledge, passion, and Purpose, the Promise can become a reality.
Core Values
History
John Nitsch, born in Koenigsburg, Germany, January 27, 1860, arrived in Galveston in 1885. By trade he was a pastry cook, but after moving to the Klein area, he began farming corn, potatoes, and cotton. Produce would be taken by wagon to the Farmer's Market in Houston, and the round trip would take two days. John married Hedwig Lentz, and the couple had five children.
Nitsch Elementary opened September 2, 1980.
